"Quinografía is more than a documentary: it is a love letter to Quino's endearing lucidity. From the intimate archive that the cartoonist himself protected with meticulous tenderness, a deep and moving portrait emerges. A journey between yellowed papers, familiar voices and corners of the world that saw him grow up. The film retraces the path of someone who, with a line and a look, dismantled the certainties of entire generations, especially from the creation of the character Mafalda, world famous…” Diario Mendoza.

We get to know Quino, his work and his world with unpublished images and testimonies. Through the work of two multimedia visual artists and a long interview with Quino, we display a visual archive of enormous value and meaning about the life and family of the creator of Mafalda. We travel, together with him, his biography, his origins and the long path taken to become a world celebrity and to finally return to his native Mendoza, widowed and almost blind, to say goodbye to the light of his childhood. Quinografía also tries to propose a reflection on the artistic ways of approaching an archive, on the way in which the present and the past dialogue, under a Mafaldian certainty: adults do not have the slightest idea
of what they do with the world.
