Aquí y Ahora is a Costa Rican drama that takes place in San José.
Lara is a modern dancer who´s insecure about her talent but lives for her craft. As she auditions
to join a dance company in Berlin, she meets Ernesto, an optimistic scientist who’s absolutely attached to Costa Rica. As her audition process continues, Lara realiznes that going to Berlin means leaving behing everything that makes her country a home.

Ana is a recently divorced 35-year-old architect with two little girls. She is the daughter of Chilean exiles, and was born in Costa Rica. When Ana’s daughter opens a Facebook account for her grandmother, she reconnects with a long-lost love from her university days and decides to take a trip to see him in Chile. From then on, Ana’s stability is shaken. She finds herself assuming the role and behaviors of her mother and turning into the type of woman she never wanted to be.

Camila (17) is too used to triumph. Cute and intelligent as she is, she manages to achieve any goal she sets herself.
She loves to swim and does not know failure. However, it would be the water, which has given her so much satisfaction in the past, the one that now forces her to face
the greatest adversity of her life with courage, humor and love.



Together with the brilliant engineer Francisca González Cohens, we will learn about various projects that seek solutions to improve the quality of life of people in cities and the countryside. Many problems that seem to be trivial involve the creation of algorithms that adequately interpret the complexity of human behavior and physical environments.

Sonia Soberats is a sixty-eight-year-old Venezuelan woman who lives by herself in a modest apartment in New York City. The pain caused by the death of both her sons resulted in her total loss of vision. She takes care of everything she needs. Today she is a blind photographer.
Through different stages of Sonia’s life and work we will see how two apparently contrary concepts coexist in harmony: a whole new tendency in photography bringing together this expressive art and sight deficiencies.
