A teacher of the School of Popular Music in Avellaneda, together with his students, is digitizing around 500 original handwritten arrangements that are kept from Aníbal “Pichuco” Troilo orchestra. Through interviews to musicians from different generations and styles, this documentary makes a musical tour through the work of one of the most fundamental characters in the history of Tango and Argentine music.

In the midst of a convulsed country, a group of people attend a workshop of poetry that lasts only one night taught by renowned academic David Sanhueza. But the participants of this workshop conceal secrets that shape the intrigue and suspense of this story. A dying corporal, a forbidden relationship, a lost poem and an anarchic cause are some elements that mobilize this story towards an unexpected end.

After years of absence, a man returns to his town in search of redemption, but he must earn the forgiveness of the members of his family, especially, his brother.

The Rio de la Plata is the place where all music converges. It is the region where very different genres such as Tango, Rock, Candombe, Murga, Cumbia and Milonga first met, giving birth to our own unique music. Pablo Dacal, music and troubadour, sets out to find the origins of our song, meeting up with fundamental characters of the Argentinean and Uruguayan music scene. From Gustavo Santaolalla, Jorge Drexler or Fito Páez to almost unknown yet equally great artists, this film features them all in a profound look into the Rioplatense Song.
