About Us

Austral Films distributes feature films, documentaries, and short films. Its founder and managing Director is Nazarena Mattera who, aside from having a great deal of experience in the international distribution of audiovisual content, has produced a documentary for Al Jazeera Documentary Channel called “Defensa Street”, with the special participation of the film director and Oscar winner Juan Jose Campanella.

In 2010, Nazarena was selected to participate as the Argentinean Representative for the IYSE (International Young Screen Entrepreneurs) Awards by the British Council of a 10 day stage in the UK, which included the participation at POWER TO THE PIXEL, BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL and meetings with some of the UK most important companies and Institutions of  the Screen Sector.
